Recover the security password for wireless

Remove shutdown virus


A shutdown virus is programmed to make your computer shut itself off. It can happen from any command the specific virus chooses, be it opening a web browser or accessing your command prompt. A shutdown virus can be a harmless prank from a friend, but it can also be from someone more sinister. A reliable, updated antivirus program is always the best way to completely virus removal, but there are ways to remove this one online virus removal & second manually. Deleting the files and registry keys associated with the virus can help disable it.



Steps:

1. Open the registry editor on your computer. Go to the "Run" command in the "Start" menu, type "regedit" and press "Enter." Some shutdown viruses can deny you access to the registry editor. In this case, download and install an alternate registry editor and open it.

2. Make a copy of your registry, especially if you are using the computer's main registry editor. Editing anything in the registry is dangerous and can damage the computer. Go to "Start," "Programs," "Accessories," "System Tools" and "System Restore." Choose "create a Restore Point" and follow all instructions the dialogue box gives you.

3. Search the registry keys within "HKEY_CURRENT_USER." Look for autorun keys that include "shutdown," "pc off" or something similar within the data name. Delete these registry keys by right-clicking on them, selecting "Modify" and clicking "Delete."

4. Open your computer's "Program Files" folder. Search for EXE files that appear related to the shutdown virus--they will very likely have the same "shutdown-pc off" title. Delete these files and immediately clear your "Recycling Bin."

5. Open your "Task Manager" by inputting "taskmgr.exe" in the "Run" command. Go to the "Processes" tab and search for the processes with the same names as the deleted files. Right-click these processes and select "End Process" to kill them.

How to manually remove a Trojan horse virus


Virus detection and  removal with your installed antivirus are always preferable. But there is also a way to virus removal manually through in your PC.

It is quite difficult sometimes to remove a Trojan virus from your computer, even if you're not using good anti-virus software. I actually had this problem when the software I used could not remove the Trojan virus. After several tries, I decided to manually delete the virus.

After doing some research online I found that whenever you have this problem, chances are the file might be hidden and that is the reason why the software might be unable to delete or quarantine the virus. These are the steps I used to remove this Trojan from my computer.

Steps:

1. Locate the name of the Trojan virus in the scanning report after you run the software.

2. Copy the name of the file that contains the virus.

3. Perform a Windows search by clicking Start, then Search.

4. Finally, click the link marked "all files and folders" and paste the name of the Trojan virus in the search box. Find it and delete.

How to remove a memory resident virus in Widows Xp

Most viruses will try to stay active in your computer memory by trying to add themselves to the programs that open when the computer starts.

1. Click on the "Start" menu and click on "Run."

2. Type "msconfig" and press "Enter."

3. Go to the "Startup" tab and look for a program you didn't install in the list. 

4. Unselect the program and press "Apply" to prevent it from running when the computer starts.

5. Right-click on the bottom task bar and click on "Task Manager."

6. Go to the "Processes" tab.

7. Select the virus process and click "End Process."

8. Install and run an antivirus program and anti-spyware on your computer.
